Our History

Legacy Construction and Development LLC was created through the merger of two established builders, joining their strengths, expertise, and resources to form a unified construction company with a broader reach and a higher standard.

ProQuality Contracting LLC brought a strong foundation in upscale residential projects and carefully managed commercial renovations. Wodehouse Construction LLC added deep experience in public and government work along with a proven portfolio of custom homes. Together, they combined decades of capability across residential and commercial markets.

The merged firm expanded into a full-service construction partner with a diverse portfolio. Past work includes improvements and build-outs for well-known brands such as Five Guys, 7 Brew, Wingstop, Dunkin’ Donuts, Subway, plus coffee shops, churches, spas, retail spaces, restaurants, and a wide range of specialty commercial needs. Residential work spans custom homes, kitchen and bath transformations, full-home reconfigurations, and projects designed to enhance daily living.

Legacy delivers both residential and commercial construction, offering design/build services for new structures and tenant space improvements. The approach is collaborative from the first conversation to the final handoff, ensuring every detail aligns with the client’s goals.

Our History

Legacy Construction and Development LLC unites the strengths of ProQuality Contracting LLC and Wodehouse Construction LLC – two respected builders with decades of combined experience.

ProQuality Contracting LLC excelled in upscale homes and high-end commercial renovations. Wodehouse Construction LLC brought proven expertise in government/public projects and custom residential builds. Together, we deliver full-service construction across both markets.

We specialize in design and build services: new construction, tenant improvements, and renovations. Our commercial work includes successful build-outs for brands like Five Guys, 7 Brew, Wingstop, Dunkin’ Donuts, Subway, plus restaurants, coffee shops, churches, spas, and retail. Residential projects range from custom built homes and full-home transformations to kitchen/bath remodels.

Craig Wodehouse is an owner/visionary and President of Business Operations for Legacy Construction and Development.

Born and raised in the New Orleans/Metairie area, Craig is a proud graduate of Brother Martin High School (’11) and later attended Louisiana State University, studying in both the Business College and the College of Engineering.

Since 2011, he has built a strong foundation in business management and construction, combining technical expertise with entrepreneurial vision. Craig is a Louisiana Licensed Home Inspector (LHI #11154), 3rd Party Building Inspector (U02819), and a certified lead-based paint abatement and mold specialist. His career took off with the founding of Wodehouse Construction LLC, where he gained recognition for delivering high-quality residential and commercial construction projects.

In a pivotal moment, Craig partnered with Paul Nilsen to merge their companies, creating Legacy Construction and Development LLC – a firm known for its craftsmanship, integrity, and client-focused approach. Today, Craig is a driving force that oversees projects with dedication and precision, helping clients achieve their goals while exceeding expectations.

Outside of work, Craig is a devoted husband and father of two, finding joy in family life while driving the continued growth and success of Legacy Construction.

Paul Nilsen is an owner/visionary and President of Project Operations for Legacy Construction and Development. A seasoned construction professional, Paul discovered his passion for building at just 16 years old and has since dedicated more than two decades to mastering the trade.

With over ten years as an entrepreneur, he founded and successfully grew his own construction company, ProQuality Contracting LLC, specializing in residential new construction, custom home building, upscale renovations, commercial new builds, and large-scale commercial remodels. His extensive experience across both residential and commercial projects has earned him a reputation for versatility, precision, and delivering exceptional results.

Paul’s leadership and commitment to client satisfaction played a pivotal role in the merger that formed Legacy Construction and Development LLC, where his expertise continues to shape the company’s growth and success. Known for his dedication to quality craftsmanship and his ability to bring clients’ visions to life, Paul has become a trusted name in the construction industry.

Outside of work, Paul is a devoted husband and father to three boys, finding fulfillment in both family life and professional accomplishments. His passion, integrity, and unwavering commitment make him an inspiring leader behind Legacy Construction.

Aaron serves as Vice President of Project Operations at Legacy, where he plays a key role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from preconstruction through completion. He works closely with leadership, project teams, and trade partners to ensure projects move forward efficiently while maintaining consistency, quality, and accountability across every phase.

With a background grounded in hands-on construction experience, Aaron brings a practical, solutions-driven approach to operations. His understanding of the field informs his leadership style, allowing him to anticipate challenges, streamline processes, and support teams in delivering reliable outcomes. He is known for his steady leadership, clear communication, and ability to manage complex operational demands while keeping projects on track.

At Legacy, Aaron focuses on aligning people, schedules, and resources to support seamless project delivery. He plays an active role in strengthening internal workflows, supporting project teams, and maintaining the operational standards that define the company’s work. His approach emphasizes collaboration, organization, and thoughtful execution at every stage of the build.

Outside of work, Aaron enjoys spending time with his fiancée and is looking forward to their upcoming wedding.

Angelle Lewis is the Vice President of Business Operations at Legacy Construction and Development and an integral part of the company’s leadership team. With a strong focus on structure, accountability, and continuous improvement, Angelle helps oversee the systems and support functions that keep Legacy running efficiently, from internal operations and team coordination to documentation, compliance, and administrative execution.

Angelle is known for her organization, reliability, and commitment to excellence, helping ensure both the field and office teams have the support they need to perform at a high level. She brings a people-first approach while still protecting the standards and processes that drive long-term growth.

Outside of work, Angelle values faith, fitness, and family, and is proud to work alongside two of her adult children who are part of the Legacy team.

Raised in the construction industry in Abbeville, Louisiana – deep in Cajun Country, Thomas grew up in a family of floor installers and began working in the field at the age of 14 in 1993. This early hands-on experience laid the foundation for what has become more than 33 years of comprehensive construction industry experience, spanning field operations, estimating, and pre-construction leadership, and instilled core values of honesty, integrity, and accountability that continue to define his career.

While working full time, he earned a degree in Industrial Technology and went on to pursue his passion for finish carpentry and millwork, gaining valuable experience in detailed, high-quality interior construction. Prior to relocating to Baton Rouge in 2005, he developed a reputation for dependable, straightforward work rooted in South Louisiana’s construction culture. After the move, he transitioned into construction estimation, where his accuracy, transparency, and consistency quickly established trust with project teams and clients.

In 2011, he started his own business specializing in the installation of Division 8 and Division 10 scope, including doors, frames, hardware, toilet partitions, and accessories. Operating his own company reinforced the importance of ethical decision-making, clear communication, and delivering on commitments while managing operations, estimating, scheduling, and quality control.

In 2020, he expanded his professional experience by working as an estimator in the storage construction sector to gain specialized industry knowledge, all while continuing to operate his Division 8 and 10 installation business. As of 2026, he serves as a Pre-Construction Director, leveraging decades of combined field, estimating, and leadership experience to guide projects from early planning through execution with professionalism and integrity.

His career reflects a comprehensive understanding of construction – from hands-on trade work to executive-level pre-construction leadership – anchored by honest communication, ethical leadership, and a long-term commitment to successful project delivery.

Erica is the Marketing Director at Legacy Construction and Development, where she blends strategy, storytelling, and design to shape the brand’s voice and digital presence. With a background in business administration and over a decade of hands-on experience, she brings structure to creativity and transforms big ideas into cohesive, on-brand experiences.

Her work spans photography, videography, graphic design, and web development, and she thrives at the intersection of thoughtful design and precise execution. Erica plays a key role in shaping how Legacy is presented across platforms, ensuring consistency, clarity, and a strong visual identity. She is known for her attention to detail, creative direction, and ability to carry a vision from concept through execution.

When she is not building brands, websites, or campaigns, Erica is often behind a camera, refining a creative project, or seeking new inspiration.

Outside of work, Erica enjoys time with her husband, David, and their two dogs, Luna and Luke. She values time with family and friends and maintains a full calendar of celebrations, gatherings, and events that reflect her energy and enthusiasm for bringing people together.

Derek Schubert is a construction professional with more than a decade of hands-on experience across commercial and residential projects. He has successfully delivered work in both the private and public sectors, managing projects valued at more than $12 million.

Known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail, Derek brings practical field knowledge to every jobsite. He works closely with crews and supervisors to maintain quality, safety, and schedule alignment while meeting client expectations.

Throughout his career, Derek has developed a well-rounded understanding of jobsite operations, quality control, and crew coordination. He is dependable, detail-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality work safely and on schedule.

Outside of work, Derek is a husband, father of three, and an avid outdoorsman. He brings the same discipline, teamwork, and respect for craftsmanship from his personal life to every project, taking pride in clear communication and strong working relationships with crews, supervisors, and clients.

Tyler Ochello serves as a Project Manager at Legacy, bringing a comprehensive background in military service, public sector coordination, and large-scale construction management. After graduating high school, Tyler enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served for six years. Following his honorable service, he joined his father’s company, gaining extensive experience in hotel renovation projects over the course of many years.

He then transitioned to public sector work, as a Project Coordinator for Jefferson Parish where he oversaw a variety of capital improvement projects funded through HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) grants for both commercial and residential initiatives, further developing his skills in project planning, regulatory compliance, and schedule management.

Tyler later joined Legacy as a Superintendent, demonstrating strong leadership in field operations. Through dedication and performance, he advanced to the role of Project Manager, now leading teams and coordinating complex project requirements from start to finish.

Mike is a Senior Superintendent with decades of experience leading large scale commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Throughout his career, he has overseen complex builds across multiple sectors, earning a reputation for disciplined jobsite leadership, strong coordination with trade partners, and an unwavering commitment to quality and safety. His depth of knowledge in commercial construction allows him to anticipate challenges, streamline schedules, and guide teams with steady expertise that comes from a lifetime in the field.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys traveling the world and has developed a passion for languages, speaking eight in total. When he is not on a jobsite, he can often be found at the cabin he built with his wife, spending time with his children and grandchildren, who remain at the center of everything he does.
