Eagan Beachfront Gave Us A Reason To Celebrate. Pass Christian Made It A Party.

On September 26, neighbors, business owners, and project partners joined the Legacy Construction & Development team for Eagan’s topping-out celebration. With the larger development nearing completion, the evening also celebrated the grand openings of Bonjour Nails & Spa, Salty Kisses Boutique, and Urban Charm Boutique.

Bringing those businesses into operation while advancing the two residential towers has required close coordination across the development. From the first concrete pours to the finishes inside the shops, our subcontractors and suppliers have played a direct role in that progress. The celebration was an opportunity to recognize their work and share what it has made possible.

The Work Behind the Milestone

Before there could be storefronts or towers, there had to be a site ready to build on. Hughes Construction completed the land clearing that prepared Eagan for construction. Working from the plans by Lachin Architects, Legacy coordinated the work as the development began to take shape.

Varuso Group handled the concrete work throughout Eagan. When we spoke with our superintendent about their crew, he emphasized how prepared and self-sufficient they were. They understood their scope and carried it out efficiently, with little need for direction from the site team.

Ortego Construction & Development handled the framing, with lumber supplied by 84 Lumber. As the buildings took shape, the plans became spaces our team and the business owners could walk through together. That gave the conversations about layouts and interior details a physical reference, connecting the larger construction effort to the decisions that would shape each finished space.

At the two residential elevator towers, several trades have contributed to the same essential part of the development. JPN Construction built the brick walls, while LaFrance Welding handled the staircases and elevator landings. KONE is now installing the elevators. These structures will provide access to the residences, and their progress reflects the coordination required between masonry, fabrication, and elevator installation.

Keeping those crews working also requires resources beyond the materials that become part of the building. EquipmentShare and Infinity Energy Services have supported Eagan with equipment rentals throughout construction. Equipment needs change as the work progresses, making those suppliers part of planning how each phase gets done.

SMART Safety Group has supported jobsite safety and OSHA compliance alongside that work. With construction extending across the towers and commercial spaces, safety coordination remains part of managing the site as different trades carry out their responsibilities.

Bringing the Spaces Together

As Eagan’s exterior came together, Mike’s Hardware & Building Supply supplied windows and doors, and Acoustical Specialties & Supply supported the weatherproofing portion of the project. These parts of the build help protect the interiors from the weather, an important consideration for a development on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. BEHR is also working with our team to source a hard-to-find intumescent coating needed for the project.

Inside, Express Service Plumbing handled plumbing throughout the residential towers and retail stores. G. Daigle Electric performed the electrical work across both. Their responsibilities span spaces with different demands, from future homes to businesses whose layouts need to accommodate employees, equipment, and customers.

PCO Construction contributed to the interior work, while Sherwin-Williams supplied the paint used on Eagan to date. The completed storefronts now give visitors a chance to see that combined work in use, from the systems behind the walls to the finishes surrounding them.

Three Businesses, Three Build-Outs

Bonjour Nails & Spa, Salty Kisses Boutique, and Urban Charm Boutique each chose Legacy to build out their space. Our team helped the owners work through their designs, including office and fitting-room layouts and the placement of outlets, chairs, and stations at the nail salon.

Assured Flooring & Countertops completed the flooring and countertops for all three businesses. Their work carries through interiors with distinct uses, providing surfaces that are part of both the appearance of each space and its daily operation.

At Salty Kisses, Legacy’s involvement extended to sourcing and installing the storefront sign. Inside, estimator Thomas Vollmer brought another skill to the project. Thomas also does carpentry and built the boutique’s custom bookcase-style clothing racks, contributing directly to the space he had helped our team deliver.

Those details were part of the work leading up to September 26. By the time the community arrived for the celebration, the owners were welcoming people into their businesses. For our team and the partners involved, the evening was an opportunity to see the spaces being used and to share that milestone with the people who will shop, work, and eventually live at Eagan.

The Partners Who Helped Us Celebrate

Several of our partners also contributed to the topping-out party. We want to thank the people who helped make the evening possible:

  • Rachel Spears and Scott Russels with EquipmentShare
  • Jason Crochet with Infinity Energy Services
  • Stephen Bayhi with The Home Depot
  • Blake Ducote with Sherwin-Williams
  • Cody Gibbson with Hughes Construction
  • Ron Davis with Acoustical Specialties & Supply

Their support helped us share the milestone with the community surrounding the project.

There is still work ahead at Eagan, and we’ll continue sharing that progress. For now, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, to the partners bringing the development toward completion, and to the business owners who trusted us with their spaces.
